|Seegers began his career in hospitality over 8 ½ years ago back in his home country of South Africa. He started working part-time at a resort/hotel whilst still in school, and found he enjoyed it “more than expected”, so knew from then that hospitality was the industry for him; “…After school and study I worked in logistics which made me realise even more how I enjoy working in this industry. Fortunately my previous manager contacted me and offered me a position at the Resort/Hotel.” Being a ‘people person’, Seegers enjoys engaging with different characters and personalities, and loves the diversity that comes with working in hospitality in the fact that no day in the office is the same.
Of his career highlights, Seegers says; “…Seeing customers satisfied and happy is a special feeling and that creates a highlight every day. In saying that, I am proud of hosting conferences from business groups to international seminars of up to 400 attendees. On the events side, I had the privilege of initiating and starting events from the ground up. These events range from golf tours to music festivals which I had built up to become the well-known brands known today.”
What does Seegers want guests to know most about Jet Park Hotel? Says Seegers; “The dedication and passion of each staff member to deliver an exceptional customer experience- we like to do things differently making each visit memorable.” When not at work, Seegers enjoys playing golf and running along the sea-side walkways. He is also a huge rugby fan, and enjoys “getting my hands dirty in the kitchen while hosting friends and family.” Seegers would love to some-day take a campervan and explore New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
